Ana is a specialist in heritage conservation having worked in the field for over 12 years as an archaeologist, conservator and project manager. Her skills in material science coupled with a background in both the public and private sectors has enabled her to be experienced in a broad range of heritage matters from museum collections to building conservation.
Ana specialises in preparing heritage statements and archaeological reviews, conducting condition surveys and impact assessments, and consulting on conservation issues. She is also a professional member of the Institute of Conservation.
Ana earned her BA in archaeology from Boston University and her MA and MSc in cultural heritage conservation from University College London. She has undertaken archaeological field work in the UK, US, Syria and Spain. She began her career in the UK as a conservator with the British Museum. Ana became a freelance conservator and heritage consultant in 2011 working predominantly with surveyors, architects and principal contractors in the construction industry on listed property refurbishments.
