Hannah is a heritage, conservation and design specialist with a wide ranging knowledge of the planning system and development management process. After gaining a BA(Hons) in History from Pembroke College, Oxford she secured an MSc in Historic Conservation from Oxford Brookes University, cementing a longstanding interest and passion for architectural history and the built environment.
Much of her 19 years of experience has been gained in the public sector, offering a valuable insight for clients into the planning process from a local authority perspective. Roles in Kent at Ashford Borough Council, at the London Borough of Lambeth and more recently at the London Borough of Camden have led to an in-depth understanding and knowledge of heritage planning policy, rural and urban development issues and a huge variety of building typologies and architectural styles, with a particular focus on London terraced houses from the 17th century onwards.
Hannah can provide advice and guidance on proposals for listed buildings, offer design input on development in conservation areas and prepare the heritage statements that are regularly required by local authorities. Her experience includes involvement in complex redevelopment schemes in sensitive historic environments, major refurbishment and extension projects on listed building and appearances as an expert witness at public inquiry.
