Approval for 35 new homes in Camberley
Surrey Heath Planning Committee voted unanimously to approve FullerLong’s application for 35 new dwellings for the awardwinning national homebuilder CALA Homes on the site of a former police station in Camberley Town Centre, Surrey.
The planning application justified the need for highquality familysized homes set against a local policy in favour of smaller units. With an influx of residential developments primarily focused on providing smaller apartments and the continued redevelopment of office to residential conversions through relaxed permitted development rights, the development will address and rebalance the local housing mix.
FullerLong said “This application brings to fruition a long preapplication process with key officers of the Council in which the scheme has evolved to more closely meet the Council’s objectives for this key town centre site. The final scheme will replace the existing concrete building and reintroduce a significant number of family homes in a high quality setting, bringing new life to the centre of Camberley”.
