Locally listed building in the Surrey Green Belt
FullerLong secured planning permission to demolish and replace a locally listed building in the Surrey Green Belt.
FullerLong’s specialist Heritage Assessment concluded that the existing building lacked the quality and interest to justify its inclusion on the local list. This was due to past alterations not in keeping with the original character and a lack of evidence to substantiate the Council’s claim that Sir Ranulph Fiennes once lived at the property.
Therefore, FullerLong were able to justify that the loss of the listed building was to be minimal and justifiable in light of the benefits of the new development and subsequently gained approval.
